Biodiversity patterns in Mediterranean coralligenous outcrops

Emma Cebrian

Emma Cebrian Pujol is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher (Juan de la Cierva program) in the Department of Botany at the University of Girona. Her main research interests are the biodiversity of macrobenthic assemblages of Mediterranean rocky shores; the study of sublethal effects of contamination on marine benthic communities, the study of invasive macroalgae that have been introduced into the Mediterranean, and the assessment of the effects of climate change and global warming on Mediterranean coastal assemblages. She has conducted her research on a number of different systems (marine protected areas, human impacted areas, etc.). Her studies combine descriptive work, experimental approaches and numerous dives.
